Clinical Director

Family Service and Mental Health Center of Cicero seeks an energetic and experienced leader for the Clinical Director position. The agency provides affordable, high quality mental health care to a predominantly low income, Latino community of about 80,000. The Center employs a dedicated, diverse, and highly experienced staff of approximately 16 mental health professionals who are supported by 7 office staff professionals.

The Position

The Clinical Director is responsible for leading and developing the clinical services offered at the organization. This includes providing clinical supervision to team members, developing clinical programming to respond to needs of the community and working to develop additional clinical leadership within the organization.

Education and Experience

  • Master's Degree in social work or a related field
  • Must be licensed in the state of Illinois as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Prior not-for-profit experience with a mental healthcare provider
  • Clinical expertise in providing counseling/case-management services to children, adolescents, adults, and families with mental illness, across all ranges of severity
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience including direct staff management (i.e., feedback, coaching, and staff development).
  • Personal vehicle, valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and vehicle insurance.

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of community-based mental health operational management and proven management skills, including evaluation of clinical efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and competency.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and Medicaid Rule 132
  • Bilingual Spanish/English Preferred

Therapist (Bilingual)

Full and part time therapy positions for LCSW or LCPC. Positions provide outpatient mental health services to adults, children and families, in community mental health center including the following specific responsibilities:

· Conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapeutic treatment for clients with a variety of mental health concerns

· Consult with and work cooperatively with agency staff and other health care/ social service providers to respond to client's needs.

· Attend and participate in supervisory and team meetings.

· Keep client records up to date and in compliance with regulatory requirements

The agency serves a large Latino population and these positions require fluency in English and Spanish. LCSW or LCPC also required. Ideal candidate will have several years of broad clinical experience working with adults, children and families in an outpatient setting. Evening hours required. Hours are flexible. Salary range for full time positions is $45,000 - $48,000.
